For new players,it is wise to start with the tutorial part of League of Legends,so that  you can learn the basic things.
To play the basic tutorial and battle training,simply press "Play" on the top of your screen and choose "Tutorial" on the left side of your screen

The Basic Tutorial guides you through the basic stuff that you have to know in League of Legends and prepares you to enter the Basic Training tutorial,which is based on the Summoner`s Rift,one of the maps of League of Legends.

(Note:If you complete the Basic Training tutorial,you will be awarded 450 IP (Ip=Influence points,which is the primary currency for LoL so that you can buy Champions/Runes etc)and go to lvl 2(maybe a bit more above lvl 2).
